As a professional with over twenty years of experience in the field of Psychology, I truly believe that building a strong connection with my clients is the most effective tool in the counseling process. The energy I bring to my work and my sincere interest in the well-being of my clients consistently establish trusting relationships that foster growth.

 

     My counseling sessions incorporate the therapeutic use of humor and creative solutions to help clients create positive and lasting change in their lives. In addition, I incorporate the use of various forms of technology (iPads or iPhones) as a tool to help clients reach their goals in treatment.

 

     Some of the settings I have worked in include in-home therapy, out-patient therapy for community clinics and local hospitals as well as participating in research projects for the National Institute of Mental Health. In addition, I possess a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology and hold a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.

 

     Finally, as a parent of two children, I have a full understanding of the challenges facing children and families in today’s world. Whether dealing with communication issues, depression, or the myriad of other challenges we face in today's world, my clients know they can rely on me to be a consistent presence in their lives. This understanding, combined with my education and experience, makes me the right person to work with you or your child.
